Local students and families spread acts of kindness in honor of veterans

Students and families from Jefferson Elementary School were recently asked to help make a difference in the community in honor of Veterans.
“Veterans have made a difference for all families in our community and beyond, and we wanted to show our appreciation for them, through paying it forward with small acts of kindness in their honor,” teacher Robin Hein explains.
“Some families paid for the meal for the family behind them in the drive-through, another did yard work for a neighbor, some donated to charities, one student delivered cookies to community workers and one family even brought a veteran to a Packers game!”
Cameron Wszalek (Wuh-za-lik), 4th grade student, said that baking and delivering cookies to city workers in honor of her veteran Grandpa Rich “made her feel proud.”
