Although they may not compete, the Bluejay cheer team is an instrumental part of Merrill High School athletics. Senior cheerleader Cassandra Howard has been the perfect example, cheering for the Jays for all four years of her high school career.
While Howard doesn’t participate in any other athletics, she stays very active in school activities; participating in the sign language club and the Junior Optimists club. On her free time Cassandra enjoy dance at Brook’s School of Dance in Merrill and enjoys volunteering at her church for Sunday school.
The Daughter of Jill and Carl Howard of Merrill, Cassandra maintains a 3.5 GPA. Following graduation in spring of 2020, Howard plans to attend UW-Green Bay to major in Chemistry, with hopes of one day becoming an eye doctor.
