Irene F. Uttech, 98, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Country Terrace Assisted Living in Tomahawk. Irene was born June 13, 1921 in Merrill to Hubert and Flora (Fuss) Natzke. She was united in marriage to Martin C. Uttech on January 18, 1942, also in Merrill. He passed away in 2010. Irene had been employed at Sears in Wausau and had been a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wausau. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed making a quilt for each and every grandchild and great grandchild. Irene had been a long time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tomahawk.
Survivors include 4 children; Tom (Mary) Uttech of Saukville, WI; Gary (Judy) Uttech of Tomahawk; Nancy Wermes of Phoenix, Arizona, and Jennifer (Jerry) Van Raden of Forreston, Illinois. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service for Irene Uttech will take place at 11:00 AM on NOVEMBER 4th, from Redeemer Lutheran Church. Pastor Mark Gass will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The Uttech family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 4th. Krueger Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family.
