Florence E. Rehwinkel

Florence E. Rehwinkel, age 96, died Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Bell Tower.  Florence was born on December 18, 1922 to the late Robert and Irene (Kufahl) Teske in the Town of Hamburg.  She married Raymond Rehwinkel on June 26, 1943 in the town of Berlin.  He preceded her in death on December 27, 1988. Florence worked at Fromm Brothers in the town of Hamburg when she was young girl.  After she married Raymond, they worked on their farm together in the town of Corning until 1988.  Besides participating in chores on the farm she worked at the Merrill View Motel for over 30 years.  Florence was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in the town of Berlin where she was an active member with the Ladies Aid, and she enjoyed singing in the choir.  She was a member of the town of Corning Homemakers Club.  Florence was a happy homemaker and will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

Florence is survived by her children; Diann (Jim) Crowley, Madison, Peter Rehwinkel, Athens, 5 grandchildren; David (Ronnie) Rehwinkel, Jacquelyn (Michael) Bant, Derek (Kimberly) Schuette, Danita (Gary) Lehnherr, Trisha (Craig) Kottke, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 1 brother; Pastor Melvin (Florence) Teske, Yakima, WA, and many other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond, 5 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services for Florence will be 11 AM on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in the town of Berlin. Rev. Andrew DeGrier will be officiating.  Visitation will be on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 9 AM to 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in the town of Berlin.  Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.  Waid Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial’s preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church Town of Berlin or Northland Lutheran High School. The family would like to thank all the care givers at Bell Tower for their assistance in caring for Florence over the past five years.
