Over Father’s Day weekend St. Paul Lutheran Church hosted St. Paul’s Party on P, where Jody Grawien (far left), along with his daughter Jenny (center) and her husband Chris Simon (right), organized a bean bag tournament to raise money for the Never Forgotten Honor Flight. In total they would raise $1,500, with $500 being donated back to St. Paul Luthern Church and the remaining $1,000 being donated to the Never Forgotten Honor Flight.
The Never Forgotten Honor Flight flies local veterans who served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam eras to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor. The Honor Flight has flown 174 Merrill veterans, with 44 more still on the waiting list.
