Larry Baumgart, 85, of Merrill, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, with his son, Mike, by his side. Larry was born October 30, 1933 in Merrill, son of the late Alvin and Lillian (Block) Baumgart. He married Beverly A. Marcouiller on December 1, 1956 in Merrill. She preceded him in death on June 14, 2008. Larry and his late wife were the former owners and operators of Baumgart Waste Removal of Merrill, now owned and operated by their son Mike. Larry was a dedicated and hardworking business man, retiring in 2012. Larry honorably served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea during the Korean War.
Larry is survived by two daughters, Holly Teske and Kathy (Rick) Hinner, both of Merrill; one son, Mike (Carrie) Baumgart, Merrill; six grandchildren, Jason (Nikki) Teske, Amanda (Tony) Wamboldt and Jesse (Jennifer) Hinner, all of Wausau, Brooke (Dan) Stankowski, Kronenwetter, Whitney Baumgart (John Renaud), Milwaukee and Madison Baumgart (fiancée, Sam Skic), Merrill; six great-grandchildren, Cabela, Archer, Jack, Jase, Jordan and Justin; two great-grandchildren on-the-way; one step great-grandchild, Jacob; one sister, Mary (Merrill) Rutell, Milwaukee; and four brothers, Dick (Gay) Baumgart and Roger (Donna) Baumgart, both of Merrill, Vern (Julie) Baumgart, Green Bay and Virgil (Marilyn) Baumgart, Merrill. Larry was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a son-in-law, Gary Teske; a sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Robert Noel; and a brother, Beryl Baumgart.
The funeral will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Father Chris Kemp will officiate.
