Carnan Simon, age 66, of Antigo, died Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born on February 11, 1953, in Antigo, a daughter of the late Carl and Edith (Walker) Simon. She graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1972. Carnan was married to Walter Olsen and the couple later divorced. She worked at Northern Wire in Merrill, in the press department, Eastbay in Wausau and later at Country Kitchen in Antigo as a dishwasher. She was a loving mother and enjoyed reading.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie (Ryan) Bieneck of Greenwood; a son, Matthew Olsen of Weston; three grandchildren, Addy, Riley and Ava Bieneck; a sister, Alice (Joe) Zuelsdorff of Merrill; brothers, Donald (Rita) Simon of Antigo, Jerome Simon and Kenneth (Karen) Simon, both of South Dakota; sisters-in-law, Kay Simon of La Crosse, and Beverly (Raymond) (Simon) Bostwick of Bryant. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Conrad, Roger and Ronald Simon; sisters-in-law, Barbara and Audrey; and a brother-in-law, Lawrence Nelson.
