Don and Dawn Swan are adding beer to their various beverage options at First Street Coffee Station.
The Swans have sold wine at their downtown location, but now will serve wine at both their downtown and Park City Credit Union locations, and beer as well, after their liquor license request was formally approved at the Common Council meeting on Tuesday, April 9.
“We have been kicking this idea around this idea for quite a while now,” Don Swan said. “We have sold wine at our downtown location for a while now, but now we will have beer and wine at (both) locations. We thought it was a good time to bring it into both.”
Don said the license was delivered to them immediately following the council meeting, on Wednesday April 10.
First Street serves up much more than just coffee, but assorted hot and cold brews along with various sandwiches, soups, salads and bakery items. Now it will add a variety of beers, including Point Brewery beers and Cider Boys. Swan adds that he hopes to work with the Sawmill Brewing Company in the future. First Street sells three white and three red wine options.
“Some people like to drink a beer or wine with their meals,” Don Swan said. “We will try and accommodate all of our customers.”
