February 16
At 9:20 pm, a caller reported their car alarm was going off and when they checked on it, they noticed foot prints in the snow going through their yard. The area was checked by officers and no one was located. The vehicle was not entered.

February 18
At 11:24 am, an officer responded to a theft complaint. The caller advised a male party had come into the business with a drill and removed a mirror. There is video of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

At 6:45 pm, an officer responded to the library for a trespassing complaint. The caller stated a male party was currently at the library that was no longer allowed per staff. Contact was made with the male party, who was served paperwork that he is no longer able to be on the premises. The male left the location.

At 6:59 pm, an officer responded to a gas skip complaint. The employee of the gas station called and advised someone did not pay for their fuel. Contact was made with the owner, who would be contacting the person who was driving, to have them return and pay for the fuel.

February 19
At 3:58 pm, officers responded to the library for a complaint of a juvenile not following library rules. The juvenile was spoken to by officers and staff. The juvenile was advised by staff that he is not allowed back to the library until next week.

At approximately 9:01 pm, officers responded to a driving complaint. The anonymous caller advised a female with a revoked driver’s license had driven from a residence to the hospital. Contact was made with the female who denied driving and stated her husband had driven, which he advised he did. The husband also did not have valid driver’s license. Officers reviewed video footage and the female is seen exiting from the driver’s seat. The female stated her husband drove most of the way and she drove the rest. Both were cited.

February 21
At 2:14 pm, a male party reported a friend he had met in prison had stolen items from him after he came to Merrill to hang out. The suspect left the victim at a gas station and left the area in a vehicle. Waushara County was able to locate the vehicle involved and the parties involved were identified and will be charged for the incident.
