The Merrill volleyball team hosted Stevens Point on Thursday night for their final game of the regular season. Merrill put up a good fight, however would fall in three straight sets.
The first set was back and forth early, however SPASH was able to get a little separation and take a 25-20 win. It was a similar story in the second set as Stevens Point topped Merrill 25-20. Merrill was able to keep it a little closer in the third set, however would lose 22-25.
The Jays finish the season with an overall record of 31-10, and took third place in conference with a 9-3 record.
Merrill has a one seed in the upcoming playoffs and will host Rhinelander on Tuesday, at 7 p.m.
