A single ATV crash Saturday evening in the Town of Tomahawk resulted in a fatality.
According to a press release by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 7 p.m. Saturday evening deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office as well as personnel from Tomahawk EMS and Tomahawk Fire Department, responded to a reported ATV crash in the Town of Tomahawk.
A preliminary crash investigation revealed that 40-year-old Tony Le Page of West Allis, Wis., had been operating an ATV on Smerbs Road off of Bridge Road when his machine left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
Le Page was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and it is not yet known if alcohol played a role in the incident.
The scene remains under investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
