Chamber trip to Ireland and Scotland

The Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring another trip to the Emerald Isle and Scotland. The trip is a 12-day tour taking place April 1-12, 2017. The trip is open to anyone. The cost of the 12-day adventure is $4,000 and includes roundtrip coach fare to Chicago O’Hare Airport, roundtrip airfare, round trip transfers between airports and hotels while overseas, site seeing bus and tour guide and includes breakfast daily and five additional meals.

Highlights of the trip include visits to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Yacht Britannia, St. Andrews, Loch Ness, Highlands, Isle of Skye, Clan Donald Centre, Glen Coe, and Robert Burns Museum in Scotland. Then take a ferry trip from Scotland to Ireland and visit Titanic Belfast and Ulster Folk Park, Giants Causeway, Derry Walls, Glenveagh National Park and Kilronan Castle, Enniskillen Castle, Boyle Abbey, and Cliffs of Mohr. The trip also includes a country-style dinner with traditional music at Ulster Folk Park, a two-night stay at Kilronan Castle and a medieval-style banquet at Knappogue Castle. Travelers will also visit Galway, Ennis, Inverness, Letterkenny and Shannon.

The itinerary also includes unique opportunities to meet with business leaders.

“Our trip to Ireland last year was such a success that we decided to do it again, but to visit sites we had not previously visited and our travelers asked us to include Scotland this time,” said Debbe Kinsey, Chamber CEO. “Ireland was extremely relaxing and so friendly. Their customer service is top rate no matter where you travel on the island, which makes for a very worthwhile Chamber trip experience.”
