Tuesday afternoon, city officials and members of the Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce joined Kindhearted LLC owner Diane Goetsch and her family, for the groundbreaking of the service’s new home at the former Lincoln House property, 120 S. Mill St.

The new 5,000 square foot facility will house KHC’s Adult Social Center and home care services located at it present location of 101 Scott St. The new facility will also serve as the 2,000 sq ft. permanent home for KHC’s new health and fitness center, which opened on April 1 at its temporary location of 204 Blaine St.
According to Goestch, installation of water laterals will begin Monday and construction of the facility will immediately commence with an estimated completion date in Mid-September.
“I’m very excited!” Goetsch said Monday.
“I am very appreciative and for all the support I have recieved from the community and the city in making this a reality. Everyone stood behind me every step of the way and I am very grateful for that. I am looking forward to providing these Services and giving back to the community I grew up in!”
