Music-filled scholarship fundraiser happening this weekend

The 3rd Annual Remembering Kyle Memorial Scholarship – Night of Music & Sounds event is taking place this coming Sunday, July 12, at 2 p.m. in the PRMS Auditorium (enter the pool doors only as the auditorium doors will not be used at all). This event is being held in memory of four-year-old Kyle, who died of leukemia… and so loved music! It will also be honoring four 2015 scholarship recipients, who have had cancer in their immediate families, as well as all families who have met the cancer beast. The event will be dedicated to little seven-year-old Mady Odegard, who has been and continues to bravely fight the insidious cancer beast.
The show is going to be packed with amazing music and a whole lot of fun! What a line-up of volunteers and talent we’re having, too! They include Carl Theorin, Rob Locke, Samantha Shaw, Lauren Hopp, Howie Pulkowski, Matt Waid, Justin Novitski, John Hagemeister, Karen Heldt, Jay Grohman, Jo Kolar, Harold Melo, Jamie Zuelsdorff, Brady Geiss, Ava Willet, Morgan Sondelski, Erich Wallace, Hunter Wallace, Andrew Grawien, Paul Waid, Ed Sabey, Mary Banser, Jenni Schoneman, Abe Akey, Eric Leih, Whitney Hasenberg, Ken Sutton, Missy Waid, Tammy Woller, Carolyn Sutton, Jeannie Lokemoen, Kayla Sutton, Noah Duginski, Hunter Dux, Matthew Rekowski and Mikey Rekowski.
The previous two years of events funded ten scholarships, and this year’s event will fund four more. So, in advance, our family and all families involved thank all the volunteers, performers and donors for all the help making this event happen, and for all the donations that are funding all of the Remembering Kyle Memorial Scholarships.
Pre-event tickets are being sold at River Valley Bank East (RV East is now closed), County Market and Piggly Wiggly, as well as on event day, at 1:30 p.m., when the pool doors will open for the show.
Donations can be made at all River Valley Banks (in the Remembering Kyle Memorial Scholarship ongoing fund), online at YOUCARING.COM in the account by the same name, at the event (of course donations above ticket prices would be accepted and appreciated) and from Paul Rekowski at Church Mutual. Any questions or donations can also be directed to Beth Anne Rekowski (event coordinator and Kyle’s Mom) at 715-539-1141 or 715-921-2018.
Come on out to PRMS to enjoy some great music, while supporting our four 2015 scholarship recipients and their families, and all families who’ve faced cancer up close and very personal! Hope to see you there!
