Members of the Church Mutual Information Technology department have been volunteering around the community since March. The first few months were spent designating time at Pine Crest Nursing Home. A group of 19 volunteers gave a total of 47.5 hours over that period. They have now moved on to serving the Merrill Food Pantry and will round the year out assisting St. Vincent de Paul and the Merrill Area Enrichment Center.
If the initial stages of the pilot program continue to be successful, it is the intent that the remainder of the company will join in this initiative next year and continue to assist organizations in need within the community.
