During its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday evening, the MAPS Board of Education voted 5-3-1 for the formation of a committee, to study instructional space concerns at the district’s elementary schools.

During lengthy discussion, the board agreed for the committee to consist of both board members and community members. Some board members voiced concerns over the study, while others indicated support if community input was accepted. Although a timeline was not set for the committee on Wednesday, the verbiage of the motion called for the committee to report back to the board on a monthly basis.
