She was preceded in death by her parents William and Della Schulz, her husband, Wallace Tesch and son Arden Tesch. If you were ever to look for an example of caring, sharing and dedicated person with a tremendous work ethic, Betty would be this person! Mom and Dad had a son Ardie, who was afflicted with Cerebral Palsy. Betty made sure that Ardie was treated like any other person. She took care of Ardie for many, many years and even after Ardie moved out to be on his own, Betty would have Ardie out to the farm as long as she could. Betty made sure that Ardie could have as normal a life as possible and loved him very much. Family was everything for Betty! She was most happy with her family surrounding her. Betty loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. You could never visit her enough. Church was a central focus for Betty. She would go to church whenever she could and was very active with church activities, quilting and serving at church functions. She really enjoyed her relationship with the church women and would view them as the ultimate resource for advice. Betty made sure her children had a good grounding in the church. She made sure we always got to Sunday school and Confirmation class even though the family only had one car and some of her children would drag their feet going! There would be none of that! Gardening was another focus for Betty! She would spend endless hours making sure the lawn looked beautiful and gently tended her multiple flower beds in the yard. She also tended a large garden and raspberry patch. Along with taking care of her beautiful yard, Betty made sure the house and farm looked great. She and Dad would make sure everything was in perfect repair and painted to a tee! When asked where we lived, we would explain that we lived in the white farm near the corner of highway 52 and J and people would say, “Oh, that beautiful farm with all the flowers?” Betty spent the last three years at Harmony House in Wausau and it was so cute when she first went to view the facility, she said, “How am I ever going to take care of all this!” We wish to thank the staff at Harmony House for taking such good care of Betty. Many said they would miss her sweet personality. We would also like to thank the staff of the Interim Hospice program. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Calvary Lutheran Church, N365 Cain Creek Road, Merrill. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
