Abrams Brothers concert coming to Merrill

Join the Merrill Area Concert Association at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 in the Prairie River Middle School Auditorium for its fourth concert of the season, The Abrams Brothers.
Born into a four-generation touring bluegrass family, John and James have been on stage in the family business since they were 7 and 10. Their musical style is a combination of country, folk and bluegrass music.
Drawing from influences as diverse as The Beach Boys and Neil Young, The Abrams Brothers seamlessly fuse bluegrass with country and folk-rock. Their song lyrics draw heavily on landscapes of the Canadian wilderness, merging these images with themes of love, loneliness, and restless ambition.
Together as The Abrams Brothers for over 10 years, the band became the youngest Canadians ever to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, were recently nominated for Group of the Year by the Country Music Association of Ontario, and recently opened for Canadian concerts by Alan Jackson and the Dixie Chicks.
Attendance at all Merrill Area Concert Association performances is by membership only. For membership information, contact Meagan at (715-252-6295) or [email protected].
The MACA 2013-2014 season concludes with the Rodney Mack Philadelphia Big Brass on Tuesday, April 29, at the Merrill High School Auditorium, beginning at 7 p.m.
