Nurturing Skills for Families

Children often present parents with behaviors that can be challenging.
Nurturing Skills for Families provides parents the opportunity to learn new approaches and skills that will empower parents to provide a safe and loving environment in which children can grow to be respectful and responsible adults.
Nurturing Skills for Families will be offered Tuesdays, July 30 to Oct. 1, from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Lincoln County Family Resource Center, 401 W. Main St., Merrill.
Learn about the philosophy of nurturing ourselves and our children, understanding feelings, dealing with stress, positive communication, discipline without spanking, using praise effectively, identifying family rules, and understanding developmental stages. Different topics will be covered each week. To get the most out of this class, attend as many sessions as possible.
All parents are welcome to attend and registration is required by calling 715-539-9228. No childcare is available during this program.
An evening session will be offered from Oct. 15 to Dec. 17; more information will be available this fall.
