Registrations are now being accepted for Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center Foundation’s 27thAnnual Golf Outing to be held at Merrill Golf Club on Sunday, July 28.
Proceeds from the 27th Annual Foundation Golf Outing will be used to purchase Capnography Monitoring equipment at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center.
“We are dedicating our annual golf outing to raise funds for this key equipment purchase which our staff has identified as an increased safety measure for our patients,” said Jane Bentz, Foundation/Community Outreach Director at Ministry Good Samaritan. “Use of this technology can help in the early detection of adverse respiratory events that can be associated with anesthesia, respiratory conditions or even medication use.”
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and for the second straight year, a Hot Air balloon Golf Ball Drop will take place at 9:30 a.m. The ball closest to the pin on the 9th Hole at Merrill Golf Club wins $1,000; second place offers $250 and Third Place $100. Tickets will be available later in the month of June and will be sold 1 for $10 or 3 for $25.
The 18-hole golf event begins with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. and utilizes a four-person scramble format with men’s, women’s and mixed (minimum of two women) divisions with many opportunities for golfers to win flag events and participate in raffles, great golf packages for the winning teams and a live auction featuring homemade pies and meat packages.
Registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Cost is $400 per four-person team or $200 for a two-person team and includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch and reception which will feature Merrill native and University of Wisconsin football player Sam Arneson as a special guest speaker.
