On Thursday evening, Merrill Police officers were advised of a threat to law enforcement personnel.
A male party that Lincoln County deputies and Merrill Police officers had dealt with earlier in the week was reportedly armed with a shotgun and was going to “take care” of the officers who had dealt with him in the previous incident. The male party was reported to be in Merrill at an unknown location.
Officers located the party at a tavern and he was taken into custody. The male was found to have a loaded, uncased shotgun in his truck which was parked outside of the establishment. The party was arrested and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.
