David A. Zimmerman, age 53, of Merrill, died Monday, December 24, 2012, at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.
David was born January 2, 1959, in Merrill, son of the late Victor and Charlotte (Schotz) Zimmerman. He worked as a machine operator at the former Ward Paper Mill, Merrill. David enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, being outdoors, watching football, and doing carpentry work. Most of all, David enjoyed spending time with his daughter and granddaughter.
Survivors include his daughter, Molly (fiancee, Tom Schouweiler) Zimmerman, of Merrill; one granddaughter, Lexa; one step granddaughter, Brynley; four sisters, Marian (Mike) Rickert, of Centralia, WA, Betty (Clark) Ambrose, of Merrill, Therese (Victor) Kanitz, of Merrill, and Rita (Mike) Walker, of Vancouver, WA; three brothers, Donald (Sally) Zimmerman, Joseph Zimmerman, and James (Julie Johnas) Zimmerman, all of Merrill; and several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Zimmerman in 1991; and a sister, Barbara Joan Zimmerman.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Burial of Dave’s cremated remains will take place next spring in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Merrill.
