Johan Marie Julia Neubauer, 80, of Merrill, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 surrounded by her family following a short battle with cancer at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born June 8, 1932 in Mantino, Illinois to the late Joseph and Stella (Soucie) Condon. Johan and Philip Parfrey were united in marriage. He preceded her in death April 20, 1998. She then married Clarence Neubauer, he also preceded her in death.
Jo attended school in Richmond Illinois. She worked as a cook and housekeeper at Good Samaritan for many years until her retirement. Jo enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and needle point.
Survivors include her five children: Stan (Marge) Parfrey, Spring Grove, IL, Steve (Debbie) Parfrey, Denver, CO, Scott (Amy) Parfrey, Genoa City, WI, and twins, Dawn (Jeff) Tritten, Merrill, and Shawn (Glenda) Parfrey, Bennett, CO; 14 grandchildren: Melissa, Samantha, John, Shane, Becky, Alicia, Justin, Samantha, Amy, Jeremy, David, Matthew, Melissa and Paige; nine great-grandchildren: Makayla, Daniel, Kayden, Kenna, Jentry, Jordan (Jo Jo), Madisyn, Dustin and Andrew; three siblings: Theresa Miller, Edward (Donna) Condon and Bob (Eleanor) Condon, and many nieces and nephews and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Philip, second husband, Clarence, grandson, Daniel, three sisters, infant twin Mary Ann Condon, Kay Adams and Bonnie Hill, and a brother, Gerry Condon.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4PM Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Waid Funeral Home. Elder Dick Ostwald will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
