Thomas Allen Oxley, 87, passed away, Tuesday, November 8th at Bell Tower Residence in Merrill, where he and his wife (Rita) located to in 1999.
Tom was born on August 4, 1924 in Woodruff, Wisconsin where he was a lifelong resident until moving to Merrill. He owned his own grocery store, Tom’s Food Market, in Minocqua for a few years and then was a long time employee at Save More Foods. His true joy in life were his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his wife, Rita; 4 daughters, Anietta (Bob) Allen of Grand Forks, ND, Diana (Bob) Kirschling of Stevens Point, Katie (Charlie) Eternicka of Woodruff, and Lauriel (Scott) Arneson of Merrill; 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Norris Oxley of Woodruff and sister Phyllis Falk of Woodruff.
Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 12th from 12:30 to 2:30 PM at the Bolger Funeral Home-Woodruff Chapel with Services at 2:30 PM followed by burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Woodruff, WI.
Tom’s family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association in Tom’s name.
