Mary K. Plamann

Mary K. Plamann, age 55, of Merrill, died Monday evening, August 22, 2011, at The Hospice House, Wausau, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born July 14, 1956 in Merrill, daughter of the late Patricia (Ott) Doering and Norbert Doering, Merrill. She was currently an Environmental Program Associate with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and along with her husband, Dewey, co-owned and operated the “Lighthouse Bar & Grill” in Gleason.
Mary is survived by her husband, Duane “Dewey” Plamann, Merrill; her father Norbert (with wife, Judith) Doering, Merrill; one daughter, Stacey (Luke) DeBroux, Colorado; four sons, Bradley (Jamie) Emanuel, Merrill, Jody (Lindsey) Emanuel, Massachusetts, Gregory (friend, Tara) Emanuel, Merrill, and Timothy (friend, Erica) Myers, Wausau; one granddaughter, Shaylyn Patricia Emanuel, Massachusetts; her step children, Andrew Plamann and Renee (Rob) Koebe, both of Merrill; and her step grandchildren, Austin, Justin, and Kaitlin Bonnell. Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia (Ott) Storm; an infant brother, Michael Edward Doering; maternal grandparents, Edward and Frances (Blackburn) Ott; and paternal grandparents, Harry and Kathryn (Bloechl) Doering.
A celebration of Mary’s life will begin at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 27, 2011, at the Council Grounds State Park – Shelter House, Merrill.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society for continuing research.
Mary’s family wishes to thank Dr. Jennine Larson and all the Aspirus caregivers who attended to our wife and mother.
