Robert J. Seetan, Jr.

Robert J. Seetan, Jr., age 68, of Tomahawk, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 at Golden Living Center-Riverview in Tomahawk.
Bob was born July 19, 1942 in Chicago to the late Robert and Lillian Seetan, Sr. He Bob was married to Char Gunterberg on July 30, 1966 in Chicago; she survives.
Bob and Char moved from Chicago to the Northwoods in 1972. He was an Eagle Scout, and a member of the Order of the Arrow of the Samoset Council. He was a former Scout Master of Gleason Boy Scout Troop 507, and a member of the Scout Council.
Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing poker. One of his greatest joys was passing along his knowledge of hunting and fishing to his grandchildren. He enjoyed reading classic science fiction. Bob was a keen observer of the political process and was a history buff. He was a longtime member of the Lincoln County Republican Party. Bob and Char served as Lincoln County Coordinators to elect Lee Sherman Dryfus.
Bob was a member of the American Legion, and a lifetime member of the VFW. He was a past member of the Merrill Jaycees, and a member of the Merrill Silver M Organization.
Survivors include his wife, Char Seetan of Tomahawk; daughter, Jill (Dale) Seetan-Van Camp of Merrill; son, Rob (Mickie Pearsall) Seetan of Milwaukee; sister, Caroline Flanigan of Racine; grandchildren, Devyn, Dylan, Ethyn, Tehya, and Piper, and one great grandchild on the way. He is further survived by his many hunting and fishing buddies. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter, Samantha Van Camp.
Memorial services for Robert Seetan, Jr. will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 1 p.m. from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bloomville. Deacon Dan Towle will officiate services. There will not be a visitation prior to the service.
