Philip E. Perry of Minocqua, formally of Merrill, died peacefully at his home, on March 23, 2011.

He was born December 29, 1925 in Merrill, to James Walter Perry and Lora Jane Perry. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, a daughter Alice (Ledford), great granddaughter Angela Marie Brunke.
On November 4, 1946 he married the love of his life, Charlotte Hennemann of Chicago Illinois. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, sons Joe (MaryJo) Arbor Vitae, Steve (Lindi) Minoqua, and one daughter Lora Wagner of Manitowoc. Grand children, Shelby,Eric, Andrea, Jeffrey, Caitlin and Caila, and 5 great grand children. One brother Jay Perry of King.
He grew up in Merrill and joined the Merchant Marines January 4, 1944. He served until May 27, 1946.
He worked for J.W.Perry in Coos Bay, Oregon, and Merrill, WI for the next 25 Years. During that time he started the first Artic Cat dealer ship in Merrill. He later moved to the Minoqua, Woodruff area, and continued driving truck or working as a laborer until retirement. He enjoyed muskie fishing, deer hunting, traveling and gardening. A small family funeral was held in Minoqua.
