Man arrested in double stabbing

The Lincoln County Sheriff?s Office has taken one person into custody and continues to investigate a double stabbing that took place on Wednesday in the Town of Birch.
Around 7:00 PM a 911 caller reported that two people had been stabbed at a residence on Donovan Drive and the suspect was going to a home on Champagne Street in the City of Merrill. Merrill Police arrived at the home minutes later and found a disturbance in progress. They took Larry Wayne Kidder age thirty into custody for violating terms of his probation. Kidder was transported by EMS to Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center for treatment of knife wounds to his hands.
A short time later Ministry Good Samaritan notified authorities that two people had presented themselves to the emergency room with stab wounds. The victims, a male age fifty and a woman age forty nine were eventually treated and released for multiple stab wounds.
Kidder was treated for his injuries and brought to the Lincoln County Jail and held on the probation violation charge. He is expected to have a bond hearing on Friday in Lincoln County Court, Deputies are referring charges to the district attorney including one count of attempted first degree intentional homicide, reckless injury and reckless endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.
The Merrill Police Department continues to investigate the incident on Champagne Street in the City of Merrill and additional charges could be issued.
