Fall MHS sports teams reward team members

Several of Merrill’s fall high school sports teams have held get-togethers to recognize letterwinners and participators, reward special contributions, and even reminisce over tribulations and snafus.

Earning a letter for the cross country team were: Kendra Andreska, Megan Berndt, Ashley Berton, Maria Debroux, Sydney Harris, Kelci Peterson, Kathleen Zeitz, Mitchell Czech, Matthew Dewar, Luke Gessler, Andrew Koch, Trevor Myers, Marcus Reinhardt, Andrew Seaman, Michael Seaman and Mitch Sherfinski.

Receiving participation awards were: Sarah Ponzer, Annette Barker, Greg Boyce, Cole Boyd, Jameson Brickner, Preston Collins, Andy Czech, Dylan Genrich, Ethan Schneider and Jordan Schotz.

Lettering for the boys soccer team were: Logan Brunett, Mike Grund, Austin Gartman, Isaac Huftel, Bryce Litschauer, Leo Olson, John Breaman, Harold Melo, Austin Hass, David Pophal, Lucas Olson, Noah Koebe, Ryan Barker, Jordan Broesch, Luis Mendoza, Paul Theorin, Cody Bentz, Kyle Hahn, Derek Woellner, Jake Yonke and Carlos Villa.

Participation awards were collected by: Dan Blakelsee, Carl Noland, Nathan Beyer, mgr. Taylor Hudzinski, Mitchell Finnegan, Alex O’Malley, Zach O’Malley, Nick Anderson, John Malone, Josh Berton, Ben Reihle, Joe Gervais, Derek Francour, Ulisis Ruiz, Steffen Erhardt, Max Egger, Ghassan al Mashbi, Dan Sherimov, Caleb Taylor, Joe Reissman, Brad Metz, Evan O’Day, Cole Catlin, Alex Wallace, Ross Bezier, Dalton Wilding, Clyde Schmelling, Devan Porath, James Rasmussen, Alex Roth, Remington Pernsteiner and Erik Schmelling.

Deemed a letterwinner in girls swimming were: Victoria Engel, Jennica Jahnke, Megan Koelsch, Courtney Kolehouse, Jourdyn Mootz, Robin Opsahl, Elise Ordemann and Emma Sowieja.

Participating were: Madison Dellinger, Rebecca Frojker, Courtney Grieser, Holli Halfmann, Taylor LaBorde, Samantha Micke, Kassandra Pyka and Brianna Samuelson.

Letterwinners for the girls tennis team included: Sarah Altman, Karina Baacke, Marissa Bartz, Aly Brandvold, Ellen Donner, Sarah Hanson, Katie Harvey, Olivia Heitz, Leah Johnson, Hannah Ollhoff, Kelsey Pintens, Marie Renaud, Elizabeth Smith, Dani Teske, Kristen Verdoorn and Marissa Wilde.

Participation awards were given to: Stephanie Chapleau, Annie DeBroux, Brooke Draxler, Victoria Gartmann, Ariel Hinz, Heather Hinz, Bella Hostvedt, Erin Hoy, Chloe Krahn, Becky Kwiesielewicz, Jolene Ladewig, Amanda Leitzke, Destiny Lemke, Sarah Lentz, Katie Maule, Jessica Niemi, Laura Reimann, Therese Renaud, Ashley Riehle, Savannah Severt, Megan Smith, Alex Spaulding, Hannah Strombom, Morgan Thompson, Mandy Vonderheid, Morgan Wilde and Catherine Winter-Reed.

Spiking out a letter for the volleyball team were: Renee Sladek, Jess Sabey, Jenna Zamzow, Emily Jones, Andi English, Kaylin Byer, Lindsay Krueger, Megan Zuelsdorff, Sam Hojan, Bri Piepenbrok, Rachel Mueller and Aubrey Wardall.

Securing a participation award were: Reegan Byer, Katie Zuelsdorff, Casey Steffen, Emily Schmidt, Brooke Arneson, Emily Jones, Elaine Moonen, JoJo Catlin, Kelsey Messerschmidt, Dani Grosskurth, Lauren Hojan, Aly Hanneman, Alysian Hoffmann, Sarah Woller, Amber Leavitt, Ashley Mussel and Janessa Porath.
