Carl O. Bergman, Sr.

Carl O. Bergman, Sr., age 74, of the Town of Schley, Lincoln County, died Monday, October 25, 2010, at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.

He was born January 14, 1936, in Merrill, son of the late Otto and Emma (Beyer) Bergman, Sr. Carl served in the U.S. Navy in 1953. He had dairy farmed in the Town of Schley, logged, and drove a pulp truck.
Survivors include his caregiver, Daisy Bergman, Gleason; one daughter, Virginia (Joe) Gremler, Merrill; six sons, Carl Bergman, Jr., Indiana, Roger Bergman, Eagle River, Bill (Kathy) Bergman and Bobb Bergman, both of Gleason, Jack Bergman, Elkhorn, and John Bergman, Gleason; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; one sister, Margie (Jack) Burkam, Merrill; and one brother, Otto (Judy) Bergman, Jr., Gleason. Carl is preceded in death by two daughters in law, Sherry and Brenda Bergman; four grandsons, Jim, Chris, and Adam Bergman, and Joe Gremler, Jr.; one great grandson Jacob Bergman; and one sister, Delaine Oldenburg.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will begin at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 30, 2010, at the Bill Bergman residence in Gleason. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family.
