L’Esperance quotable- “We are the smallest team in school history, but have the best work ethic since the 1998 team. Every girl works hard in sets and is striving to improve individually as well as improve upon last year’s record. Being a small team means we will not fill out a full roster and potentially lose meets, but the rewards of personal goals being met will outweigh the dual meets.
“From the perspective of the swimmers, they are having fun, working very hard and developing into a cohesive team that may not win a lot of meets but come sectional time, they will improve dramatically. From a coaches perspective: this team is the most motivated team I have coached since the team’s inception in 1998. I am looking forward to watching each girl develop into the best swimmer they can be. Team strengths are unity and commitment to the longer goal of developing a stronger team each coming season.
“Conference favorites are Ladysmith, as well as newcomer Rhinelander.”
