Dian M. Plautz, age 63, of Merrill, WI, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019, at her home. Dian was born in Merrill, WI, on June 1, 1956, to the late James and Mary Ann (Weisman) Young. Dian was a lifelong resident of Merrill and attended Merrill High School. She later entered the workforce holding jobs at Merrill Distributing, Weinbrenner Shoe Company, and most recently, Lincoln Windows, retiring in May of 2019. Dian loved camping and fishing and enjoyed nature, watching the hummingbirds and tending to her flowers. She had a special place in her heart for her cat, Skippy. Above all, Dian loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her significant other of many years, Timothy Sprenger, of Merrill; her son, Christopher (Tiffani) Plautz, of Merrill; two daughters, Jennifer (Matthew) Masek, of Deerbrook, WI, and Jamie (Lyle) Peel, of Merrill; three brothers, James Young, Tom Young, and Jeff Young, all of Merrill; three sisters, Martha (Tom) Johnson, of Merrill, Carol (Gary) Hartwig, also of Merrill, and Bonnie (Tim) Banaszak, of Waupaca, WI; four grandchildren, Lucas, Bradley, Zachary, and Emma. She is further survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Dian was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Ann; her brothers, Roger Weisman, John Young, and David Young; and her sisters-in-law, Bonnie Young, and Jamie Young.
