One reported dead in Monday evening ATV crash

A Monday evening ATV crash resulted in the death of a 67-year-old man.
According to a press release issued by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday night, July 8, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office’s E-911 Communications Center received a call at approximately 7:23 p.m. of an ATV crash in the Town of Bradley.
A preliminary investigation of the crash revealed the 67-year-old male operator was traveling westbound on Waddell Road, east of County Highway E, when the operator lost control of the ATV. The ATV rolled multiple times, tossing the operator from the ATV.
The operator was transported to Ascension-Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk, where he was pronounced dead.
The operator was not wearing a helmet and there were no passengers on the ATV at the time of the crash. Speed is suspected to be have been a factor in the crash.
Responding agencies included the Tomahawk Fire Department, Tomahawk EMS, a Wisconsin DNR conservation warden and deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash remains under investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
