Stephen J. Batchelder, age 65, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Ascension Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill. Steve was born January 28, 1954 in Merrill, son of Grace Batchelder and the late Donald Batchelder. Steve had been employed at the former Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for 19 years. He enjoyed both golfing and bowling. Steve was inducted into the ‘Merrill Bowling Hall of Fame’. Most of all, Steve loved his family, especially his niece and nephews and their children.
Steve is survived by his mother, Grace Batchelder, Merrill; one sister, Julie Miller, Merrill; one brother, Michael (Susan) Batchelder, Las Vegas; his niece, nephews, their children; and many friends. Besides his father, Steve is preceded in death by a brother in law, Vance E. Miller.
