Crime Stoppers to host ‘Shred Day’

Do you have documents such as personal cancelled checks, bank statements or credit card receipts and statements that need to be confidentially destroyed to protect against possible fraud or identity theft? Lincoln County Crime Stoppers invites you to have them shredded by IROW, a local AAA rated NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) company. Crime Stoppers, with sponsorship from Mitchell Metal Products, has arranged a “Shred Day,” Wednesday, June 26, 2019, from 11 a.m until 2 p.m.
Bring these documents to the Merrill Enrichment Center (MEC), 303 N. Sales Street, where an IROW truck will stand ready. Documents will be loaded into the truck and shredded later at the IROW facility. A statement of proper disposal will be available.
A suggested minimum donation is $5 per box, with a limit of five boxes. Those with larger quantities are asked to make an appointment.
Donations to Crime Stoppers of Lincoln County are used for the funding of Crime Stoppers’ programs. Food will be available for purchase, with proceeds also to be used in support of Crime Stoppers. The Merrill Enrichment Center will provide a free Ice Cream Social. The Merrill Optimist Club is also providing support.
For more information or a large quantity appointment, call MEC at 715-536-4226.
