Athlete of the Week: Kelsie Belfiori

Kelsie Belfiori enjoyed a career night on Thursday April 26; taking the mound for the Bluejay varsity softball squad and dishing out a shutout performance over DC Everest. The MHS junior pitcher/center fielder doled out three strikeouts and allowed just four hits, en route to an 8-0 win in game 2 of a double header in Schofield. Entering into her third-year in the varsity softball lineup, Belfiori completed her third varsity season this past fall as a libero on the Bluejay volleyball squad.

Aside from sports, Kelisie is active in the MHS chapter of the National Honor Society, MHS Student Council, Big Brothers-Big Sisters and a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

In her free-time, Kelsie enjoys outdoors activities with family and friends, such as boating, playing volleyball and inner-tubing.

Daughter of Dom and Julie Belfiori of Merrill, Kelsie currently maintains a 3.5 GPA. Following graduation next Spring, Kelsie plans to attend UW-Stevens Point and would like to study an area that will allow her to work with children either in an educational setting or in the health care field.
