The 2016 Coldwell Banker Home Listing Report (HLR) was released today, ranking more than 2,000 markets across the U.S. based on the affordability of the average listing price of four-bedroom, two-bathroom homes in each area. The report found that the average home price for a four-bedroom, two-bathroom in Wisconsin is $225,442.
Merrill, with an average home listing price of $125,540, was ranked as the third most affordable market in Wisconsin to purchase a home. For most affordable, Merrill ranked behind only Beloit ($117,655) and Wisconsin Rapids ($121,158).
The most expensive housing market in the state is Mequon, where the average price of a four-bedroom, two-bath home is $474,739. On the most expensive list, Mequon is followed by Whitefish Bay ($458,262), Oconomowoc ($398,591), Cedarburg ($389,729) and Hudson ($389,021).
