May 29
2 a.m.- An officer on patrol observed a mobility scooter on the roadway with the driver doing wheelies and exceeding the speed limit. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver fled on the scooter down an alleyway, between two houses before crashing between two other houses. The driver then fled on foot. The suspect is known and investigation continues. The scooter was modified with a gas engine.
2:14 a.m.- A caller reported a neighbor pounding on her door and yelling obscenities. The suspect refused to answer the door but was later cited for disorderly conduct.
1:20 p.m.- A 15-year-old was transported to secure detention after striking another student. He was referred to Social Services for disorderly conduct.
4:04 p.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of Probation & Parole.
4:06 p.m.- A caller reported a vehicle in a business parking lot was spinning around squealing the tires and nearly struck someone in the lot. When patrons of the business began yelling at the man he claimed he was the owner of the business and could do what he wanted. Based on the description and a registration plate a witness had obtained, his identity was learned and he was cited for disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle. It was found he is not the business owner but rather a manager.
5:27 p.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of Probation & Parole.
8 p.m.- A caller reported a suspicious man outside an apartment complex sitting in the rain. An officer located the man who was found to be drinking in violation of his probation rules. He was arrested for a probation violation.
May 30
9 a.m.- A caller reported her phone stolen while at a school function. Investigation continues.
9:17 p.m.- An officer on patrol came upon a motorcycle that was on fire. The officer was able to extinguish the fire. The driver was found to not have a motorcycle endorsement. He was cited for the violation.
May 31
1:03 p.m.- A store reported a shoplifter had stolen a can of corned beef hash. The suspect was located leaving the store. It was found he did not have a can of corned beef hash but admitted he had placed a container of parmesan cheese in his pocket at one point as his hands were full.
2:04 p.m.- A caller reported someone had struck his vehicle while in a store parking lot causing a dent. The suspect had fled the scene. A crash report was completed.
4:17 p.m.- A store reported a shoplifter had attempted to steal false fingernails from the store. It was reported by an employee the suspect had attempted to take several items into the restroom with her. She was informed she could not take items into the restroom. After the suspect left the restroom the packaging for the fingernails was found to be opened. The suspect was confronted and claimed she was only trying them on to ensure they fit. Further inspection revealed packaging for several other items in the restroom. The suspect left and the employee provided a vehicle description. The vehicle was later located by an officer outside a residence. Contact was made and initially the suspect and a family member lied claiming neither the suspect or vehicle had been at the store. When presented with evidence to the contrary the suspect admitted to the attempted theft. She was cited for destruction of property. The two were also warned for obstructing an officer for not telling the truth.
7:51 p.m.- A caller requested a standby while she collected her clothing her husband had thrown outside the residence. The husband tossed a lit cigarette on the clothes, causing a burn to a shirt. The husband was warned to cease swearing outside the residence toward the wife and also in the presence of neighbors who were outside including several young children. The husband was eventually arrested for domestic disorderly conduct. He was found to be on probation and a hold was placed.
