Red Raiders romp on Hatchet boys

The Tomahawk boys fell behind early and never recovered in Friday’s 56-32 defeat.
“We didn’t shoot well against their 1-3-1 to start the game, and didn’t move the ball as quickly as we wanted to,” THS coach Tim Albert said. “We were still only down by seven after the first because our press gave them problems.
“In the second and third quarters, we forced shots and didn’t rotate the ball from side to side well enough. It was just a struggle on offense.
“We didn’t play well and they took it to us. We will rebound from this loss and it will make us a better team.”
The Red Raiders jumped out with an 11-4 start and pushed it to an unmanageable 29-9 by halftime.
A 16-8 difference in the third pushed it to 45-17, before Tomahawk finally came out on top, 15-11.
Fletcher Schoone paced Tomahawk with 12 points, Lorne added 7, Phil Skubal tallied three.
Tomahawk (0-5 in the GNC) fell to 4-7 with the loss.
