The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash on US Hwy 51 early Saturday morning. At approximately 1:38 a.m., deputies were advised that one vehicle was on its side with debris covering the roadway. The crash took place north of Tamarack Lane in the Town of Skanawan.
Upon arrival, deputies were able to determine that the driver, identified as 34-year-old Kevin Eggebrecht of Tomahawk, was traveling southbound on Hwy. 51 and ran off the roadway and into the median. The vehicle continued in the median for a couple hundred feet before overturning. The overturn caused the vehicle to become airborne for a short time before coming to rest in the northbound lane of Hwy. 51.
