Brubacher to challenge for DA seat

The Democratic Party of Lincoln County announces that attorney Sidney A. Brubacher is running for the position of District Attorney in Lincoln County.
Sidney is 55 years old and was raised on a dairy farm in Edgar. Both Sidney and his wife of three years, Jennifer, are graduates of Edgar High School where Sidney lettered in football and Jennifer in cross country. Sidney also graduated from the University of Minnesota with a History degree and the University of Northern Illinois with a Law degree. He also attended a university in Orebro, Sweden.
Sidney is a proud Navy veteran of seven years and also a veteran of two foreign wars. Sidney also served aboard the Lewis & Clark ballistic missile submarine as part of the elite SWASE program. Sidney also served in a security police detachment in Naples, Italy and was posted to a foreign station for a year after the 9/11 tragedy.
After Sidney passed the Wisconsin Bar exam, he practiced law as a defense attorney in Lincoln and Marathon counties for about two years. He then took a position as an Assistant District Attorney in Marathon County where he has worked for the last six years, handling just about every type of case imaginable, including homicides.
Besides being a lawyer and veteran, Sidney has a varied and rounded work history. He has worked in a feed mill, factory, in a hospital setting and as an electrician, giving him a wealth of experience working with and understanding all types of people.
Sidney and Jennifer are expecting their first child, a boy, in November.
