Yvonne M. Pedersen, 77, of Merrill, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at UW-Hospital in Madison.
Yvonne was born November 24, 1947, in Rockford, IL, daughter of Emil and Dorothy (Gordon) Pedersen. After graduating from high School, Yvonne enlisted in the United States Army. After her honorable discharge, she drove school bus for the School of Blind in Michigan. She then worked for Pony Express as a courier in Milwaukee. She received an Associate’s Degree from N.T.C. in I.T. Yvonne and Ginny moved to Merrill in 2006 and Yvonne was a bus aid for several years before she retired in 2008. She and Virginia ‘Ginny’ Lasiuk were married in November of 2012.
Yvonne enjoyed fishing and going for rides. She also liked cooking, reading, playing on the computer, and playing cribbage and spades.
Survivors include her wife, Virginia ‘Ginny’ Lasiuk of Merrill; children, Stefanie (Andrew) Guss of Menomonee Falls and Jeremy (Jamie) Kreush of Merrill; granddaughters, Fiona and Noelle; sister, Dorothy ‘Dottie’ (Dennis) Willis of Nevada; sister-in-law, Susan (Robert) Lemke of Lisbon; and brothers-in-law, Dennis Lasiuk of Merrill and Gerald (Margaret) Kniess of Merrill. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Dorothy Pedersen; sisters, Clarice Pedersen and Laura Kniess; and brother-in-law, David Lasiuk.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Minocqua Memorial Cemetery.
