Posted

In a June 18, 2026, press release, the Wisconsin State Patrol (WSP) North Central Region Wausau Post indicated Jack Edward Uhrine, 24, of Merrill was arrested at 12:46 p.m. on that date on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, second offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On Thursday, June 18, a trooper with the Wisconsin State Patrol, Wausau Post, stopped a 2012 Mazda 3 on Cty. Hwy. Q near Cty. Hwy. K, for equipment and registration violations. The trooper made contact with the driver and observed indications of impairment. A subsequent investigation, including field sobriety tests, resulted in the arrest, along with a citation for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver's license and failure to install an ignition interlock device. The two-year-old child who was a passenger in the vehicle at the time was released to a responsible adult.
Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
