For any area residents who had appointments scheduled with the Lincoln County Veterans Service Officer at Tomahawk City Hall, please be advised those appointments will be rescheduled. Due to the Lincoln County Veterans Service Officer being on Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave, all outreach appointments scheduled at Tomahawk City Hall from June 12-July 24, 2025, will be postponed, a June 6 press release from the Veterans Service Office said. Regular outreach appointment services at Tomahawk City Hall will resume starting Aug. 14, according to the release.
The Lincoln County Veterans Services office remains open, staffed by Deputy Veterans Service Officer Tiffany Daigle, who continues to assist veterans and families with their claims and needs. “The Lincoln County Veterans Service Officer apologizes for any inconvenience this postponement may cause to veterans and their families,” the release said.
“We understand the importance of these outreach appointments to our veterans in the Tomahawk community,” said Matthew Pultz, Lincoln County Veterans Service Officer. “We are working to resolve unforeseen scheduling conflicts and will resume our regular services as soon as possible.”
During the postponement period, veterans in need of assistance are encouraged to contact the Lincoln County Veterans Service Office directly at 715.539.1083 or visit the office at 801 N. Sales St. Street in Merrill. However, they are asked to limit walk-ins and call to schedule an appointment with Daigle during this time.
