Underdown Free Pass Weekend is this weekend

Outlook for cross country skiing isn’t good

The Lincoln County Forestry, Land, and Parks Department will host their annual Underdown Free Pass Weekend at the Underdown Recreation Area this weekend, Feb. 3 and 4, 2024. Visitors are invited to come out to use the cross country skiing, fat tire bike, and snowshoe trails for free on these days.
However, snow levels are very low and ski trails have not yet been groomed. It’s “Not looking good for skiing, but hopefully fat bikes and hikers can take advantage,” said Dean Bowe, County Forest Administrator for the Lincoln County Forestry, Land, and Parks Department.
