Triathlon event donates to Friends of the River Bend Trail

The Black Squirrel Scurry paddling triathlon recently donated $1,400 to the Friends of the River Bend Trail for continued improvements and expansion. The triathlon was held in parts of the City of Merrill and surrounding Merrill area on July 27, 2024. More than 50 volunteers made it possible for a record number of 72 registrants to compete in this annual event. Donations were also made to VFW Post 1638, the VFW Auxiliary, and Scout Troop 503.
