Shirley A. Wiroll, age 82, of Merrill, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at her daughters’ home in Antigo, while under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was born on January 6, 1941 to the late Walter and Flora (Hehling) Tesch at St. Mary’s Hospital in Wausau. Shirley married Rodney Wiroll on June 25, 1960 and had 3 children together. Shirley worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory and the Moose Lodge in Merrill. She was a strong woman that cherished her time with family, enjoyed taking rides and watching squirrels and birds, especially the beautiful cardinals. Shirley had always greeted her family members with an enduring "Hi Honey". She loved all of her “grandpuppies”, watching the Packers and listening to and dancing to Polkas. She is remembered as a witty, goofy and loving woman that also had a quiet and gentle side. Shirley would like to sit outside, enjoying nature, while also enjoying an ice cream cone! Shirley will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
