Ruth V. Wachsmuth

Ruth V. Wachsmuth, age 89, of Merrill, died Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Ministry

Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.

Ruth was born May 25, 1922, in Merrill, daughter of the late August and

Wilhelmina (Klein) Hintze. She married Victor A. Wachsmuth on May 29, 1943,

in Gleason. He survives. Ruth had been employed as a seamstress at Lincoln Hills

School, Irma. She enjoyed embroidery, gardening, flowers, and crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Victor A. Wachsmuth, Merrill; two sons, Don

Wachsmuth, Janesville, and David (Dyan) Wachsmuth, Jackson, WI; five

grandchildren, Ryan (Theresa) Wachsmuth and Sara Wachsmuth, both of

Janesville, Heidi Wachsmuth, Milwaukee, Becky Wachsmuth, West Bend, and

Miah Rae Wachsmuth, Jackson; one sister, Phyllis Zuelsdorff, Merrill; and one

brother, Ralph (Gladys) Hintze, Merrill. Ruth is preceded in death by four siblings,

Alvina Tesch, Esther Kolleth, and Ted and Albert Hintze.

The funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 10, 2011, at St. John Lutheran

Church, Merrill. The Rev. Nathan Kramer will officiate. Burial will be in Luther

Memorial Lutheran Church Cemetery, Town of Russell. Visitation will begin at

9:00 A.M. Monday at the church. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the

family.
