Rosalind P. Hofele, 77, Merrill, died at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau, Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011.
She was born July 10, 1934 to the late Harry and Adalia Raasch. On June 16, 1956, Rosalind was united in marriage to Jack Hofele at St. Francis Catholic Church, Merrill.
Rosalind hostessed at Hinz's Cork and Dine, Merrill for many years. She later started her own Antique Store, Second Hand Rose, after that owned The Mustard Seed, Merrill which she operated for 20 plus years. Rosalind greatly enjoyed working outside and taking care of her yard and flowers. Rosiland also greatly loved her family and her dog, Lady.
Survivors include her husband, Jack, of Merrill; son, Brian (Mary) Hofele, Merrill; grandaughters, Amber (Ryan) Rice, Menasha, Ashley Baumann, Merrill; great grandaughter Reegan Rice, Menasha; several nieces and nephews; her special cousin, Arvilla Wendorf, Weston; and brother-in-law, Ray Heller, Merrill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.
As per Rosalind's wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service. Mid Wisconsin Cremation Society is in charge of arrangements.
