Peter Ray Wiedenhoft, age 74 of Merrill passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital under the loving care of his daughter and sister after losing a courageous battle with cancer and COPD.
Peter was born in Merrill on April 2, 1951 to the late Raymond and Juanita (Pfister) Wiedenhoft. He was employed in carpentry and maintenance most of his life and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He made friends easily and was quite a storyteller and jokester. He loved the outdoors and spent most of his free time fishing, hunting and picking wild mushrooms. He also enjoyed a good game of pool or playing the slot machines, but most of all he treasured the time spent with family and friends.
Peter is survived by his daughters Tina Wiedenhoft (David Brewer), Lisa Wiedenhoft and son Eric Wiedenhoft, siblings Elva Prentice, Maxine (Kenneth) Jones and Steven (Brenda) Wiedenhoft, 7 grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Diane Bushar, his parents, sister Judy Krause, brothers Larry and Allen Wiedenhoft and brothers-in-law Jim Prentice and Sheldon (Skip) Krause. Peter's family would like to extend a special thank you to caregivers at Hospice and Aspirus Langlade Hospital.
In accordance with Peter's wishes, no services will be held.
Strasser-Roller Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
